A poll we should actually pay attention to
On here and on social media, I spend a lot of time talking about how we need to ignore the presidential polling. Well, here’s a poll we should take a look at. The bottom line is that A LOT of voters have no idea about Donald Trump’s delusions of dictatorship or Project 2025.
“Large swaths of voters appear to have little awareness of some of Trump’s clearest statements of hostility to democracy and intent to impose authoritarian rule in a second term, from his vow to be “dictator for one day” to his vague threat to enact “termination” of provisions in the Constitution.”

At the same time, I want to share a tidbit I gleaned from my interview today with Jeremy Smith, Co-Founder and CEO of Civitech, which makes a tech product that drastically improves data about unregistered voters and where they are. As he looks at the number of registered an unregistered voters, here’s what the data tell him:
“There are just lots of people who are dying and lots of people who are turning 18. And it's more than you think. And so we are missing an increasing number of people. And if you look at 2020 and you look at now, we are 25 million fewer registrations in the whole compared to where we were in 2020.”
People, we’re leaving voters and votes on the table. And tables aren’t comfortable.
That episode will drop next week, but in the meantime as you think about your contribution to the movement and winning this November up and down the ballot, consider voter registration to be a higher priority than you maybe thought.
