You are so correct. I have several paid Substack accounts. But, w average cost of $80.00/account it’s not affordable to support all of them. Nor is there enough time to follow all of them

I’ll admit that I become frustrated when those who won’t provide free content send their posts to me. And, since they won’t allow free content, I will never pay for account w them or follow them.
It's really hard! Which is why I don't make enough to support myself. I don't do breaking news and I don't have a paywall. Bad capitalism, but I hope goodwill. I have to shuffle mine around b/c there are few people I want to support and a few whose analysis I think is worth the cost. But let's just say what I make from this isn't nearly enough to cover even other subscriptions. Thank you for listening. I'd be interested to hear your feedback on content and approach, etc.
If you had a discount for awhile, about $50.00 annually I’d pay for that. As a listener, I feel bad when I’m not able to support those who I listen to. I’m retired. Need to watch spending as does everyone during these uncertain times. Your topics are of interest, very informative. I’m enjoying listening & learning.
