From Lexington to Your Town, the Declaration of Independence is surprisingly prescient.
#FreeAmerica in the words of our founders
Hi all,
The 4th of July takes on a new meaning this year as we reconnect with the document and the sentiment that made our founders declare their independence from Britain. In Lexington, we had several readings of the Declaration (I’m down below reading a few paragraphs) as we protested with our No Kings, No Tyranny signs. I hope we all take this moment to re-gird ourselves for protest, for protection of the Constitution, and for the freedom of every human in America. I’ll be taking a brief mental health hiatus on the podcast. If you’re new to this community, I invite you to watch or listen to some of the conversations I’ve had since February. I’ll be back early in the fall with new conversations focused as always on winning the information war and imagining a better future.
In the meantime, please contact me by replying to this email or DMing me in the Substack app. I’ll be back (probably in the notes way sooner than later).
Here’s a link to the text of the Declaration of Independence. And if you want to order the Lexington Alarm merch, you can order it here: www.lexingtonalarm.org. This is the No Kings! No Tyranny! yard sign you see by my leg, as well as lots of other doodads with the same message.
In solidarity,
Stephanie
