Wow, I’ve been waiting to have the 7 Mountain Mandate explained. I rarely hear anything about it or Lance Wallnau. I knew it was a very important basis for the whole Republican Conservative Christian Nationalist mess. Thank you for posting the podcast episode! I saw a CNN Special Report called “Deep in the Pockets of Texas” a few years ago where I saw what their connection to 7M, and believed this must be what’s happened to all Republicans. CNN never mentioned it again as far as I could see. How could this get by Rachel Maddow and Nicole Wallace on MSNBC? To me it is a HUGE thing that can explain so much to people about how effin looney the Republicans have become and hopefully be more likely to reject their crazy theocratic notions, like they are finally starting to do with Project 2025. This so obviously began with the 7 Mountain Mandate.
This is such an important subject to talk about. We haven’t dealt with (or even acknowledged) how much this world view has impacted and even infected our politics and now our lives.
I don’t have any idea what we can do about it except to keep trying to defeat All republicans at the ballot box but everyone needs to be aware that it’s not just the greed that motivates people. When you get into prophecy and messianic bs folks will go to any lengths to bring about their vision. They’re right about one thing- there really is evil at work - and the call is coming from inside their own house. Or maybe inside their heads!
The deeply researched book, “The Violent Take It By Force,” by Dr. Matthew Taylor has just been published. It documents the influences of Charismatic Christian Nationalists on that of Trump, eg a Charismatic Christian was on Staff in the White House in 2019. These people discard rational *arguements* in favor of personal prophesies.
