Why subscribe?
Freedom Over Fascism is hosted by Dr. Stephanie Gerber Wilson. After the 2024 election, we face a period of deep uncertainty across the country. It’s clear that several themes top our lists of WHAT TO DO. She’ll be focusing on media, independent journalists, and creating a new system of communicating with the public that meets voters where they are. This includes understanding the ways Republicans communicate, their funding mechanisms, and how we can create content that’s true to our values. She’ll also focus on places we can make the most change in our lives: state and local politics, understanding mis/disinformation, and how to address the crisis of belonging.
One of the most stark differences between right wing and “dem/left” media is the right’s focus on content creation, and more importantly, the strategy of funding large and smaller creators, cross-pollinating big creators with smaller creators, and talking about politics without actually talking about politics.
