Last week I talked to Josh Cook, the owner of Good Influence, the influencer network built for campaigns and causes. He’s working on a non-profit org, Chorus, that is starting up and planning to support influencers and important voices for values-based causes and campaigns. Our conversation ranged from how to better support content creators at all levels, to how elected officials’ comms strategies are outdated, to how to create a connected network of creators who can work together to reach more people in the information war. This was a fantastic conversation that builds on my conversation with Tara McGowan from last week.
As we watch the Trump/Musk machine tear down the central institutions and ideals of the United States, we need a way to break that impermeable bubble mis and disinforming the other side. And that will come from regular people talking to regular people they trust.
