I was glad to be able to talk to Anne-christine about humor and activism that can gain attention on a human level. She started off by sharing an idea of having counter rallies on June 14 (the military parade) with parades of penguins in different places showing the absurdity of Trump’s focus on tariffs on islands with only penguins, and his fixation with Greenland. I think that’s a phenomenal idea that will produce a graphic and a meme that will last. Who’s going to organize???? (Plus it hearkens back to the right wing censoring books about male penguins raising babies together).
